Half way done! 20 weeks!

Ah! What a relief!! I love it...as my Sarah says...now I can count down instead of up! Yay!! :) Not much happened this week..it completely flew by. I'm not sure where time goes but goodness! The baby is certainly moving around like crazy! I love it :) I can tell it's gotten bigger this week...every time I stand up it sinks to my bladder and I instantly have to pee! Ah the joys! I also woke up one day and my face looked like a balloon! Puffy! It's went down some! Thankfully! I've had to keep a close eye on my sodium as I've been swelling some and my BP was high last week at the appt. It's perfectly fine when I'm not at the Dr...I just get nervous when I step through the doors..not sure why..something about she has the machine that finds the heartbeat! Dill calls my swollen ankles cankles :( he's so mean! :)...he also has read to the baby a couple nights this week..he tells it a rhyme if he forgets to get a book..or he makes up some crazy store lol..the baby likes it and usually will give a good kick!

I took the GRE today..I was SOOO incredibly nervous.. i studied lots this week..not sure how much it helped but I'm glad it's over with! Now it's time to get everything else ready for admissions! Waho :)

We're also getting closer to the fetal echo which means I get to see my boo again :)! Yay! June 10th is when we do that!
And I just want to say my lil booger Caiden got his first tooth this week! :) and is now 9 months old!! and ahead of his developmental schedule!! YAY for good moms and dads who work with their kids!! :)

oh i also didn't mention about last week..i had gained 8 lbs at my dr appt..opps! well it's not to bad from the beginning since I had lost..and the dr said it was good for this point!
One of my fav clients passed away friday from a battle with skin cancer! They just diagnosed it about 6 months ago..and in that time it spread to his lungs and brain..skin isn't something to mess with folks! its your bodies biggest organ! You wouldn't lay your heart out in the sun would you??!?!? didn't think so. --stepping down off my soap box--

here's the bambini this week!

and info about it developmentally--
Your Baby
This is the week most women get that ever-important gender-revealing ultrasound. If your baby isn't shy, the genitals can be clearly seen at this point. Will the baby pee standing up or sitting down? Well, that depends on how you potty train—but if you're interested, you could leave the appointment knowing if you're carrying a boy or a girl. Other highlights this week:

Your baby has established sleep patterns akin to a newborn now. Many babies even have a favorite sleep position already. Some snooze with their chins resting on their chests, while others nap with their head flung back. Many babies at this age fall into noticeable cycles of sleep and activity, so you may know before she arrives whether you have a night owl or an early bird.

If your baby is a boy, the testes have begun descending from the pelvis into the scrotum. If it's a girl, her uterus is completely formed and the rest of her "parts" are in development. (Is that TMI?)

From this point forward, your baby will put most of her energy into gaining weight and, not coincidentally, so will you! Right now your baby weighs approximately 10½ ounces and is about 6½ inches long, about the size of a can of Red Bull (which has way too much caffeine for a pregnant woman to be drinking).

see ya next week!!
