14 weeks old!

So I've decided I'm going to set Tuesday as my 'update' day to see if that helps!

Kynlee had her first Christmas last week! and it was a white Christmas! How lucky is she? It was a lot of fun, I'll show it too you in pics in just a minute! First updates on her developments this past week, she has become quite the hand sucker, and can hold toys for much longer periods of time, she has also gotten good at putting them into her mouth! Rolling over is no big deal anymore :) she thinks she's hot stuff and flips over as soon as she hits her belly! Her vision has become obviously better over the past week as well. She is much more interested in looking around and is studying everything. because of this she loves reading books now. the first time i noticed it, we laid under the Christmas tree and read 'The Polar Express' and she just stared at the pictures, it was really cool. [this has always been a tradition in my family].We all got spoiled for Christmas as usual! Her favorite toy is her jumperoo, she thinks it's the best thing since a bottle! She had it less than 24 hours and was already wanting to jump all the time! She woke up the next mornin legs agoin!
She's still loving going to the babysitters, and is worn out by the time she gets home. She didn't go today because she's got a stuffy nose and a cough.

So here is her Holidays in pictures!

i'm so terrible about updating.

Kynlee is 3 months old today. Really? Where has time went? How is this possible? I don't want to spend too much time in review, basically the past 13 weeks have been a blur! Lets see she did really really well until the 6w mark and then all hell broke loose. She started nightly screaming fits where nothing would calm her down, the bath tub would work for a while and as soon as she was out of the tub it would start all over. We finally tried a suggestion from the message board of the hair dryer. I remember feeling ridiculous walking to the bathroom to get it that first night, but it worked like a charm. She absolutely loved it! So that was a life saver many nights. Thankfully after about 10/11w she stopped having the fits! But we did suffer through them at Thanksgiving, we also sort of figured out she didn't like to be held during them, she wanted to lay down and be on her own, so that's what we did. Her mobile in her crib entertained her. But needless to say, having a baby that didn't want to be held during the holidays was no fun.

She has also learned to grasp things with her hands so her new favorite place to be is in her bouncy seat with her dangling toys at an arms reach, this week she finally figured out how to get the middle toy, which is the one that plays music.

Last week she did roll from her belly to back a few times, if I get her arms tucked under her far enough she plops right over! The first time she did it I had barely laid her down and she was already over!

She started at the babysitters last week. And I went back to work. I didn't cry as much as I thought I would, I think only her first day was rough, Dill dropped her off for the second day and by the third day when I dropped her off as soon as she heard Candy's voice she was all smiles! So that obviously makes it much easier!

Oh we've also had some belly troubles which required us to make a special trip to Dr Phelps, she was spitting up like crazy and screaming in pain when she was trying to poo. At first we tried reducing milk and soy formula, didn't help and soy tore her belly up worse. Then the dr suggested reducing onions, garlic, and peppers, that seems to have been the trick and for the most part all has been well since then! We're using gentlease formula which she loves and it doesn't bother her belly at all! My pumping isn't producing a whole ton of milk so we've got to supplement.

We've had about 4 nights of sleeping through the night. She'll go two nights in a row of STTN and then goes about 3-4 days of waking up at 1 and 4 and 7. I'm not really sure what is causing the differences, other than her evening naps, she gets so worn out at the sitter that sometimes its impossible to keep her awake in the evening.

I suppose our biggest news is that she was diagnosed with pulmonary valve stenosis at 7weeks. At her 6 w check up they heard the murmur and were hoping that it was just the 'normal' murmur but when we went to Childrens Mercy they found that the leaflets in her pulmonary valve are thicker than they are supposed to be, but not bad enough to do anything 'yet' they will continue to monitor her until she is done growing. If they get any thicker surgery will be required. Thankfully it's less invasive than what Dillon had 20 years ago (obviously) and they would just insert a cath into her leg and go up to her heart and balloon open the valve. I'm not sure if it comes from what Dillon had since he had a kink in his valve, we didn't ask, but I'm going to try to remember in January. When we went it was when she was having screaming fits and the Dr said to just treat her like a normal baby. Strange thing, the NP that was in there first was trying to figure out who Dill's surgeon had been, come to find out we think it was the Dr that was in there with us the whole time! Nuts!

We had pics taken last week for her 3 month photo session, she did AMAZING. We timed it so that she would be hungry as soon as we got to springfield, so she woke up as we pulled into a parking spot (two spaces from the door mind you) she ate, wouldn't burp, so i was terrfied she was going to spit up all over her clothes, she didn't. She was awake and did not cry the entire time we flopped her all over the place for her pictures and then she fell asleep while we were waiting to look at them, so she slept through all of that. What an angel.

Here is a pic of her with Santa. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I think the best part so far has been watching her look at Dillon, she is SO in love with him, she has to see him no matter where he is in room she wants to look at him.
Melts my heart.

so i guess this is all, i'm going to once again promise more updates. I think I'll do it on Tuesdays, when she grows another week older. i start classes soon on wednesdays, yuck!

39weeks--Kynlee's Birth Story

Kynlee Grace’s Birth Story

I’ll start with Thursday September 17th, I went to work and wasn’t feeling well so I took it pretty easy that day, I could tell my blood pressure was high and had nurses at work check it for me and sure enough it was. I took most of the afternoon off to rest at home. I called my dr Friday morning as I was still getting reading of 140-150/ 90-100, they had me come in early for my NST, the first few when I got there were okay, but the longer I sat their they started to creep up, I also wasn’t feeling Kynlee move as much, which is an issue with high BP. Dr Phelps asked me to stay on bed rest over the weekend and to come in at 8:50am Monday morning. So I headed home and stopped at Pizza Glen on the way home, Dillon got off work early that day for some reason so we hung out at home the rest of the day. Being on bed rest was not fun, I don’t know how people make months like that. I eventually had Dillon bring our mattress into the living room so that I could lay on it and watch the big tv as the couch was not comfortable anymore. My BP didn’t improve over the weekend. It stayed pretty much the same and even my meds weren’t bringing it down anymore. I felt horrible. I was still having occasional braxton hicks, but they had slowed down even more than previous weeks and her movement was still slow. My head didn’t quit hurting all weekend, I was swollen, and groggy/in a fog from the medication.

Monday Sept 21, I made my way into Dr Phelps office, dizzy and light headed and with a plan to tell her to get this baby out of me it wasn’t good for either of us to keep going, thankfully I didn’t have to. My BP wasn’t as high but knowing that being on bed rest hadn’t brought it down and that I was 39 weeks, there was no reason to keep suffering. When she checked my cervix, I was still a 1-2 cm but had effaced a lot more, however her head was still a bit high. She said I think we need to induce. .All I could say was please and thank you. She left to go see what her schedule was for the week and to call the hospital to see what day would be good for them. She came back about 5 minutes later and said “how’s this afternoon”, I said PERFECT! She told me to check in at L&D at 4 pm and that we would start with cytotec and then try Pitocin. We talked a bit about my hopes for med free, but she informed me that if we did pit I would have to stay in bed, and that if my BP got too out of control they would suggest an epi to calm me and bring down the pressure.

I text Dillon on the way out of the office, and told him to leave work at noon, we were having a baby! I don’t think he believed me at first, I think his response was whatever...then I called my mom and Robin and told them that we were just starting meds tonight, we’ll call when progress is happening, it’ll probably be in the morning. Headed home to make sure the bags were packed and all was in order. Dillon was home when I got home, because I had to go do my NST in the mean time. We had everything ready about 2, and then decided to go grab some food from Smiths, well in the mean time it ABSOLUTELY poured rain, like we almost didn’t make it down 3rd or Ohio street from so much rain! We left the dogs at home, my dad was going to come pick up Truman later on and take him to their house and Izzy just stayed in her pin.

We got to the hospital about 3:30, thankfully we were early because there was huge line! When we got back to the room they went through all the normal stuff, got a hep lock in after several attempts, it ended up in my right hand which made signing releases fun! They asked a million and two questions, and I got in my cute gown. . About 5:15 they came in to give me my first cytotec insert, so Chuck and Dillon went to dinner, since they had brought mine. I had half a pill at 5:15 and was told they could do another one in 4 hours. I got up and moved around a little bit, but only could move for a while as I had to be hooked up to the monitors once an hour for 20 mins. At 9 they came in to put in another ½ pill. Woo it worked almost immediately. Contractions started shooting through the roof. I think I was dilated to like a 2.5-3 and effacing more at 9. So those contractions were painful and in my back, I started with walking around the room and eventually moved into the hall way with walking, but had to stop moving during contractions. They were 2-4 mins apart and lasting 30-60 seconds. Dillon was sleeping on and off and I was trying to relax. Around 1 I asked them to bring in a birthing ball, which helped some, but the pain was so far down into my bottom and in my back that it didn’t help much and the counter pressure wasn’t being effective either, it would work for a little bit but then not. I can’t remember if I had a 3rd cytotec, I don’t think I did as I was contracting well on my own.

About 3 am I was still at a 3 but effacing more and I think this is about the time the nurse started saying she could feel hair! Woot! The nurse also remembered that I wanted a rub with a Jacuzzi tub, so we moved into a room with one and it was fabulous! Especially at first! I labored in it for a good hour and then got hooked up to the machines, contractions while in bed where unbelievable, I absolutely dreaded that 20 minutes. Thankfully my BP wasn’t too bad, they called Dr Phelps about this time and she was okay with my BP and not starting any other meds yet, so I went back to the tub for another 40 mins but it was losing its effect especially as the water cooled off. After I got out the 2nd time I think my water broke while I was on the toilet but I didn’t realize it until later. Humming through contractions was effective a bit too. Dillon was still being supportive and rubbing my back and holding my hand as need be.

About 5 they were getting unbearable and I was barely 4 cm, just still effacing more and she was dropping some. Around 6 am I started crying through contractions, I couldn’t get out of bed as my BP was starting to climb and they wanted me to stay monitored. I had been having off the scale contractions for 7 hours and was starting to get weak physically. I asked when I could get an epi about 6:30 and the nurse said it was still a little early and they were getting ready to switch anesthesiologists and if I could hold out it would be better, so they started giving me fetnol (spelling?), which made me feel like I had just chugged a bottle of vodka, Dillon didn’t like me telling everyone that :). I had 3 doses of that and finally about 8:30 they got an anesthesiologist there an hour after it was requested and I was at an absolute breaking point. I wasn’t sure I was going to live lol, it was horrible and I was sobbing. I didn’t want the epi but knew I wasn’t going to survive without it, my back was hurting so bad, the pain hadn’t went away in over 6 hours, there was no “break” between contractions for me, although it was worse during a contraction, it never totally went away.

They let Dillon stay in the room during the epi which really surprised me, so he was standing in front of me and the nurse and Dr start yelling at each other about them taking so long for a dr to get there to give me the epi. Like literally yelling and I’m sobbing because I was so tired and in so much pain and here they are being unprofessional so I screamed why are we talking about this? And the dr says “I’m preparing your medicine” I said good do it in silence. Then he tells me he’s putting the needle in, then I look up at Dillon and he’s saying hun, hun, hun and his eyes started rolling back in his head and I said are you okay? and he said no and starts falling towards me, as I’m supposed to be sitting still and there is a needle in my spine.....so I holler at the nurse who comes and helps him sit down but she’s holding him so he doesn’t hit his head and the dr is holding a needle in my back and I can’t reach the call button, so the dr just leaves the needle in my back and then goes to get help..they brought him food and I got some pain relief. And all was better. For a while. The nurse also apologized for their behavior, the dr did too a little but not much.

Dr phelps came in to break my water, but it was already broke and I had progressed to a 5 within minutes from before the epi. I was 90% effaced at this point and a zero station. She said looking good and left. I started shaking bad at this point, uncontrollably, they brought me warm blankets, but it didn’t really help. My mom and Dill’s parents got there about 10 am, but they didn’t get to come in because Kynlee started having heart decels with contractions so I was put on oxygen and they wanted me to roll on my side and rest while they watched her. They also put a monitor in me to monitor the pressure of contractions to see if they should have been progressing me more and they put a monitor on her head to get a better heart rate tracing to see if the decels where justified. Parents did eventually get to come back but then had to leave again when dr phelps came back about eleven to check on me again. I had progressed to a 6 then but her head was not dropping at all, her heart would be fine for a little bit and then not fine, and every time they would get ready to do something she would be fine. My nurse started prepping me for a c section though because she knew it was probably coming. Dr phelps said lets give it an hour to see if you progress any more and I hadn’t, and with the level of contractions I should have been moving along. So I was still shaking, my epi was not completely working, I could still feel the pressure/some pain of contractions and I was on oxygen and scared about her heart rate. At 1p Dr Phelps said lets do the c section which was more than fine with me because I hadn’t slept in 48+ hours and was beyond tired and didn’t know how I was going to push. So everything happened pretty fast, Dill got his sexy little outfit on they upped my epi read me my rights, Dr Phelps came in and went over the dangers, the last words she said were “you could die and baby could die” ack. So they take me back and Dill has to sit out and wait. I was still shaking really bad but then Dill came back and they started cutting. That was the strangest feeling ever. I’m not even going to try to describe it you just have to feel it to know. The new dr from anesthesiology that I had was fabulous and explained everything to me. Then they pulled her out at 1:59 am on Sept 22, 2009 and first said woah lots of hair! And then said “It’s a girl” and I said are you sure?! And they said yes...I wish I had a picture of Dillon’s face when they said it’s a girl :) it was priceless and you could tell his life was forever changed. I said is she beautiful? He just nodded. She struggled with breathing at first so they put some oxygen on her and then once she was somewhat okay they came and put her head next to mine, she was beautiful. He left with her while they stitched me up and then took me to recovery. That was the worst thing ever. They did bring me pictures of her and she looked JUST like Dillon when he was a baby. Then they took me back to my room, where Dillon was holding her and seeing him look at her as I came around that corner was amazing, I still tear up thinking about it. The hardest part was that our parents were in there, so we didn’t ever get a family moment, and they had already all held her, which is still hard for me, but it’s alright, she’s here and beautiful. She was wide awake for about 3 hours after delivery which was col and then she was out like a light! And we got some alone time when grandparents went on a shopping spree.

A couple hours later, I got a phone call from a lady who had found Truman out on the highway (a mile down gravel from my parents house) he had been ran over by a truck. She very kindly took him in town and met Allison and Eric with him. They all said he was just scared and stiff but was wagging his tail and could walk. Thank God for them taking care of him, and we called our vet, Elroy at home and he told us what to check and said to bring him in in the morning if we thought he’d be okay through the night. Dillon went home to check on him and he was pretty much okay, he took some childrens tylenol and stayed in his kennel all night his ribs were swollen but he could walk and jump off furniture. I was so upset when I got the phone call, thankfully I was still heavily drugged so I wasn’t as bad as I could have been. And Truman is now fine!

So that’s pretty much all of her delivery!

38th week.

Shockingly still pregnant. Feeling much worse. Very tired of being pregnant. I know I should LOVE being pregnant, and I do, I'm extremely thankful for it and that it was so easy for us to get pregnant. But I hurt, I'm tired, my feet and hands are swollen on the time, my head hurts all of the time, and i'm taking meds that make my heart slow down and make me groggy. I went to the dr tuesday after some pretty good cramping/contracting over the weekend I was looking forward to the internal. Hadn't dilated much more, she could get a finger tip through, she had asked if i wanted membranes stripped so that incase we had to induce my cervix would be more favorable, but i wasn't open enough. However, I had effaced some which apparently is just as good if not better than dilating. So that's good. She upped my BP meds again. Ugh. She had said she would induce, but nope more meds. Annoying. So by Thursday my BP was 150/110 at one point. I was having a bad day at work and hadn't gotten one of my meds filled so i missed it, but even after I took it i only came down to like 145/89. So Friday Morning after feeling terrible all night I called. They wanted to repeat some lab work they did tuesday and do the NST earlier in the day. So my lab work came back fine again, which means everything inside is in working order, which is great news! Of course my BP was fine during the NST, until they faxed it off to the dr then it started creeping back up. She put me on bed rest for the weekend which I've been doing and it's still high. 130-140's/80-90's and I feel worse. Heads hurt all weekend, stomach is completely nauseated, dizzy...all the same ol same ol just a lil worse. I'm praying she'll bring up induction tomorrow. If she doesn't I'm going to be brave and do it! Since it's going to be have baby or bed rest, i'd rather have the baby if i'm going to be using work days..hope she sees that as just cause :)

Babies movement really comes and goes these days..sometimes it goes nuts..then other times I'm super worried because I haven't felt it in a while.

Your Baby
Your baby's intestines have accumulated a considerable amount of meconium (the code name for black, tar-like baby poop), which is usually eliminated shortly after birth and gives you your first experience with the 100-wipe diaper change. Here's what else is up:

Your baby might just scratch herself in the womb as the fingernails have grown over the fingertips now. Resist painting them hot pink when she arrives.

Baby's lungs continue to mature and her brain and nerve function are working better every day. The latter two will continue to mature until Junior is a teenager, at which point she'll know it all (or at least she'll think she does).

Your baby weighs about 6½ pounds and is around 19 or 20 inches long—as long as a duffle bag (in case you needed an excuse to go shopping for a new bag for your labor gear).

37th week full term!

So we would have had the u/s this past week..it went well baby slowed down growing BIG time and was perfectly on track for the date i had planned from the beginning the 29th!
so it was about 6 1/2 pounds..all else looked good, nst went well. my mom went with me since dill was out hunting or whatever. baby liked the ice chips! my bp is still struggling at this point but what's new. i've slowed down working quiet a bit in order to relieve it a little since i'm sure work is a major cause of it! Thursday of this week I started to get a little excited I was having some good contractions about ever 3-5 mins lasting 45 seconds to a minute...then exactly an hour in the quit. ugh.

Your Baby
Huge news this week: You're carrying a full-term baby! If you were to go into labor today, all systems would be a go. Woohoo! Even though you can't wait for the little bambino to quite literally rear his head, keep in mind that your bun benefits from every day in the oven. Other ticker-tape-worthy developments:

Baby's growth slows down dramatically this week, which is great news for your birth canal. His bones are still soft and pliable and will solidify after he's born. More great news for your birth canal.

So if he's all cooked and ready to go, what the heck is he still doing in there?! He's busy practicing for "life on the outside," working on his breathing, sucking, sleeping, gazing and peeing abilities. The only thing he can't practice yet is his ability to scream at the top of his lungs when he's hungry—but he'll do plenty of that in a few weeks.

At this point babies vary in size, but the average length is between 19 and 20 inches and most babies weigh approximately 6 pounds. About the size of an average largemouth bass caught in Minnesota by your cousin Earl.

i did good for a while...

And now i have no clue what i need to tell you about...ugh..i think this is the week that one of my NST's took over two hours to complete..baby would NOT wake up. i had water, juice, crackers...finally it decided to kick just enough..i was contracting pretty majorly the whole time..but not getting movements, the heart wasn't deceling with contractions tho so that's good!

here is the 3d info for week 36..the other info from that week is below! that's when she did the GBS test.

our Baby
Your baby continues to put on weight at about ½ pound each week. This layer of fat will help your baby regulate his body temperature after leaving your climate-controlled womb. In fact, your baby will be 15 percent fat at birth (and you ... well that's another story). Even in the womb, your baby can listen, feel, touch and see. The only thing separating him from living in the outside world is a little thing called the birth canal. Other highlights this week:

His gums are firm with ridges that look somewhat like teeth, though his actual pearly whites won't start breaking through until he's between three months and a year old.

Your baby has definite patterns of sleep and wakefulness—opening his eyes while awake and closing them while sleeping. Your baby will become alert and turn his head toward light and sound just as a newborn would—except when you put on that Celine Dion CD. Then the baby puts his hands up, turns away and gurgles, "Oh no you didn't!"

Your baby is now around 18½ inches long and nearl

yes this makes THREE updates in a week

for all you complainers!

So wed's dr appt my BP was a little high right? normalness for appts. I get home though and still feel like it's high, i take it..it is. rest awhile, still have headache..take it again, still high. bathe/shower...bed time comes, i don't feel good at all...i had dillon rubbin my back and then cuddling me trying to relax myself..it helped a little and I finally got to sleep..wake up around two for my normal potty break, still having a bad headache and i'm really swollen...go back to bed and get some sleep, woke up about 6, took BP still high 140's/90's...which is where dr doesn't want it. so dillon didn't have to work and was talking about going hunting..told him didn't think he should cause i was pretty sure i was going to need to go to the dr. so i called in to work..dillon got called in to work, i fell back asleep, woke up took bp again about 10 still high. i call the dr, she said she was going to order me another med to add to my regiment tonight if it was still high, but for now to take another propranol lay down for two hours, if it's still high to head to L&D. so i laid down for two hours, BP was high the whole time...i got one low reading, but took it again still high....so i head to the burg. get checked in start doing NST, first BP fine. second, third, fourth, fifth..fine. go flippin figure. my head is still killin me though, they said to take tylenol. which had helped earlier in the morning i just hate taking meds, i feel like they're masking symptoms that i'm having for a reason. baby was fine on monitor. my top bp number started creeping up at the end, but when i got home it was fine. the headache went away with tylenol, meds just made me super tired so i rested a lot..i took today off from work again and then next week i've been instructed by my boss that if my dr says its okay to work lightly to do so. in order to save up my days off. BP is a little high this morning 130/80 every time, we'll see what it is once i get to NST this afternoon!

also have u/s so i'll update you after that!

look at me go!

So I figured I'd better update about the past two days before I forget the details..

I headed to my appt yesterday afternoon...pee'd in a cup had just sat down to wait to be called back...dr gets called to go deliver..so we reschedule for this morning..so i went ahead and headed to my NST...baby had been pretty still yesterday, but i figured it was normal since there was so much movement over the weekend. We got some pretty fast heart accels within 15 mins..but only four were registering...baby was moving but heart beat wasn't going up...dr phelps came in after delivering the baby and said lets get one more....hour and a half later..still didn't have it...so a nurse came in moved me to my side...gave me some juice...we had tried crackers too..still not getting much and my bp was going up...mainly because i was scared...finally we got two more accels and they came in and said you can go if you want or stay if that would make you feel better..but told me it was looking pretty good because i was having some pretty good contractions and the heart wasn't deceling which is good. each time a different person would come in they would say are you feeling these?? well yes. i went ahead and left...i was gettin too worked up and wasn't comfortable and was starving..get home..tried relaxing did a kick count..took an hour to get 5...ate something FINALLY 9:45..right on cue baby wakes up..goes nuts..for about 20 minutes..i headed to bed, fell right asleep..woke up about 3:30 realized baby hadn't kept me awake which was out of the ordinary for when it starts kicking that late...so i got scared again, got up and got some water and worked on paper work baby started goin nuts in there..PHEW.

so we head to my appt, she did the GBS test..it wasn't bad at all! blood pressure was a little high, but the girl taking it is terrible and always screws up the first time so then she doesn't let the air all of the way out and then pumps it back up..which you aren't supposed to do. anyways, then dr phelps did an internal too since i've been contracting...she said *tmi warning* that she couldn't get her finger all of the way in but that it was open about this much *held her fingers open 2-3 cm* and that it cones back and was closed in the back..YAY! not officially dilated but working towards it. :) and that it was very soft. so that's all good! progress. She then said she'd like me to stay pregnant at least two more weeks before we think about induction because of my BP's she didn't say much about my fundal height today..i lost my tape somewhere so i cant measure...

so that's about all..im still contracting quit a bit especially before i get home in the evenings..i may ask my supervisor about going part time next week or something...

more pictures..

I decided to go ahead and download these..i need my memory card free anyways. i think these are from the end of my 34th week.

lets see if i can find those pictures...

so i've had some bump picture requests...the only one i have downloaded recently is from the weekend of the shower..and i'm too lazy to go find the ones i just took at 34 weeks. which i know is what was requested...maybe in a lil bit..
first...this is izzy's homecoming weekend...she missed the tub.

at the shower! it's a bit blurry sorry!

35th week.

Really 35 weeks? No. I can't only have 5 weeks left. There is no way 32 weeks have passed since I pee'd on that stick. Not possible.

So even though time has absolutely flown by, i'm pretty miserable this week. Thank God this has been like the coolest summer of my life, because I'm pretty sure I would have died if it wasn't. My hips, honestly feel like they may explode. (Thank you to all of my friends who have made it full term in their pregnancies and FAILED to mention this part to me). sheesh. Also, after laying down for more than 10 mins and then getting up feel as though I have been kicked in the lady parts HARD. from the outside, not the inside, its all on the outside. Really HARD. it hurts. bad. I associate it to the blood flow changes, not sure if that's the case or not but wow. So this is my nice warning to those of you reading this who have not had the pleasure...be watching for it.

The baby has been SO SO SO active this week, which I love. It is definitely out of room in there. My mom, dad and I were testing gliders at NFM yesterday and my mom just happened to be looking at my stomach, as was I..and it literally jumped all over the place. I really wish I had, had our video camera. it was crazy..my mom died laughing, my dad missed it...but baby kept doing it for a while, then my stomach was lop sided, which is the coolest thing ever. This baby is long though...it's head i'm pretty sure is already down in my pelvis, since my hips hurt so bad (i read today that's a sign)...and I still have feet up in the top of my rib cage. and the heartburn, oh my lordy..if this kid doesn't come out with 5 inches of hair..i'm gonna be pretty upset....

we didn't find a glider...furniture places get a little crazy with their pricing...

poor dillon has worked really hard this week (he's had one day off in two weeks) and I miss him, but the OT couldn't have come at a better time as we rush buying last minute things! He has surgery to cut the metal out of his arm tomorrow at 2, say a prayer for him, it's no big deal but there will still be a knife cutting into him...it's kind of funny the hole the piece of metal made is like, less than a pen tip...he'll probably have a one inch scar. lol...

that's all, hopefully i'll have an update after tomorrows appt! i'll post pics in a minute..must start supper first..

3d info:

Your Baby
This week the final touches are being added to your mini-masterpiece and most of his development is going to packing on the pounds. While baby's movements may be becoming less jerky, he may do his final somersault in the womb soon—to put himself into the head-down position for birth. Other fascinating facts:

Your little Karate Kid can't quite pack the punch he used to due to the limited space inside the womb these days. You're likely to feel more wiggles, stretches and rolls than kicks and jabs. The extra layer of fat your baby is adding will create those cute dimples on your baby's elbows and knees. His liver has begun processing his waste products, so you know which organ to thank when he has his first blowout up the back of his onesie.

Baby's nails are growing so long they may curl over the tips of his tiny fingers and toes before he sees a pair of clippers. He'll be in serious need of a mani-pedi once he's born (as will you).

Your baby is now about 5½ pounds and over 18 inches long—about the size of one of those price-club sheet cakes.

34 weeks. dr says the I word.

Back to the Dr this week. it was a good appt. One of the first things she asked was when my last u/s was, i told her around 30 weeks, so she looked at the chart and mmhmmed and said ya it was measuring ahead then...so then she said, next time you come in (which would be in two weeks) remind me and we'll schedule you for another u/s just to see where we are size wise. I said okay ,laid back and she went to measure my fundal height (how big my uterus is)...I've been measuring at home and getting about 38 cm (I'm not entirely sure where the top of it is)...it should measure one cm for each week so it should have been 34 cm...anyways when she got done measuring she went to my chart write it down, when she came back to listen to the HB she said..i changed my mind we're going to schedule that u/s today for in two weeks, just incase; we don't want to be rushing around...after that we may talk induction. insert big eyes here.

So we scheduled the u/s for Sept 4th. I go see her the 1st, I guess we'll talk induction when i see her the 8th. if she lets me pick a day, i'm going for the 14th. It's the day i've been saying since the beginning.

still going for NST's. baby usually is cooperating. i love listening to the HB. some of the nurses turn it way down, which is annoying..i want to hear..every single beat. BP is still really good, especially during NST's that sound is so relaxing.

my grandpa brought the changing table this week. LOVE it. I'll post pictures as soon as I remember to take some. i'm efficient. we also went to the chiefs game this week..it POURed down rain on us. POURed. but it was good times regardless. :) we left at half time. i don't think we could have been anymore wet had we jumped in a swimming pool. lol..it's our luck. it didn't rain all day. 2 minutes into the game, down pour.

here is 3d info:

Your Baby
Your baby kind of looks like she's coated in a layer of cream cheese these days. The thick, white substance that protects her skin from pruning in the amniotic fluid is called vernix. When she's born you'll probably see some vernix lingering in her "hard-to-reach" places like under her arms, behind her ears and around her va-jay-jay, if she's a she.. Other news from the womb this week:

The soft fur, lanugo, that covered your baby's body for much of her stay in the womb is now almost completely gone. Your baby begins to develop her own immune system, instead of relying solely on antibodies received through the placenta. This will come in handy when some grubby relative manhandles the baby without washing his hands first.

This week, your baby measures about 17¾ inches, as almost as long as an American Girl Doll (!) and weighs almost 5 pounds, as heavy as a bag of sugar, minus the cup you put in your decaf this morning.

33rd week.

Am I seriously 4 weeks behind?! Oops! Time flies I guess. I did post during this week, it was the day I was having contractions. That was an exciting day! Did i post that Dillon came home and nested? It was hilarious..he went crazy cleaning the kitchen! yay for him. i'm dying for my nesting to kick in...my brain is going crazy saying clean clean clean..my body..not so much. My hips continued to be really sore this week. They were last week too when i went to my appt she commented that it was pretty early for my hips/ligaments to be stretching out but no biggie. We started NST's this week, which was really cool. We (well usually just me) sit and listen to the HB for at least 20 mins, once they get 5 accelerations in the HB they fax the report to Dr Phelps and then I get the all clear. The whole process usually takes an hour to an hour and a half. It's great time for me to relax and put my feet up! I should also point out that I started feeling MUCH better as far as my BP goes, the med increase REALLY helped!

here is this weeks info--

Your Baby
The big news this week is lung development—baby's respiratory system is almost completely mature. That means if your baby was born this week, odds are he'd be a healthy bouncing baby with a just a little help from his friends (aka, the NICU). Some of the specifics are:

Your baby can now detect light and tell the difference between night and day (of course that ability will miraculously disappear once he's born and up all night screaming). His pupils will constrict and dilate in response to light. If you shine a flashlight on your belly, your baby may shy away from the light as if to say, "Cut it out, Ma. You're soooo annoying."

The bones in your baby's skull are soft and are not yet fused together. In other words, now is not the time to teach him how to do a headspin while breakdancing. This pliability allows the bones to overlap; making that trip down the tight birth canal possible (and resulting in that surprising cone head look your baby will sport for the first few days post-birth. Don't worry, it's totally normal and that's what hats are for.)

Your baby will continue to pack on the pounds gaining around ½ pound a week from here on out.

Your baby weighs about 4½ pounds, as much as a grownup duck, and is approximately 17.5 inches long, about the same as a collarbone-length pearl necklace. (Did somebody say push present?)

yay for my mommy!

I LOVE my mom! For many reasons...one of course is her oh so talented hands. I wish she would have passed SOME of her talent on to me...i did spend 10 months in her tumtum..you would think she could have sent me some through that cord attaching us. :) Oh well..I don't mind as long as she keeps sharing her talent with me by just doing it for me! :) Dillon also said last night that he wishes I would have gotten some of her cleaning skills.. he's so kind. So my madre finished the painting on the walls yesterday and it's SO cute in there..i just go in there and stand..i can't wait until we get out chair this week..then i can sit and stare :)...here are the pictures! She free hand painted all of it, just from looking at the animals on the comforter. *mwah* love you mom! thank you!!

The room isn't finished yet so you don't get to see much of it! Just the walls! Hopefully it will be completed by next week?! *fingers crossed*

below the giraffe will be the changing table--we're waiting for my gpa to finish making it! the giraffe should look like it's standing on the table..or close to it! :)

the monkey is tailless because she is going to make one out of fabric and drape it over the picture frame, which is made from an old window...the basinett will be moved to our room and when we get the glider this week it will go under the in this region somewhere!

my first experience with contractions

happened today. I was at wal-mart with a client when i realized my back was KILLING me. bad bad bad. and that I had a ton of pressure in my butt. we kept going and got out of the store. on our way to dollar general my stomach got as hard as a rock. it was about 12:35...didn't hurt other than some cramping really low. she ran inside. took forever. i took her home. 12:46..happened again as i was walking into the house, with lots of pressure down low. 12:55..my dad gets back from lunch with my mom...happening again. no pain just tightening all over my stomach. i laid down..more weird pain going on. 1:05ish..happened again....1:15ish again...1:20...had another one...ack that wasn't 10 minutes that was only five...read my hospital sheet it says to call if i get 5 or more in an hour...but to rest to see if that helps. 1:30...happens again...nerves start...i packed a suitcase real fast..at this point they let up a little and i couldn't tell if they were still happening. 1:45 i head out to get my client still getting small strange feelings..decided i had better call the hospital before too long..so i called and talked to a nurse...she said it was up to me..i met requirements for coming in but that if they didn't hurt i could wait an hour to see if they stopped since we have a drive..but to most certainly come in if they got stronger or i had bleeding or my water broke.. .they kind of went away even more while my client was in with the dr from 2:30-2:45....the baby was just way up in my lungs pushing so breathing was hard. so ever since then my stomach has gotten hard a couple of times...still have some strange pain going on but baby is moving as much as normal and i have a NST tomorrow so we can make sure all is well...

first nst went good as soon as the baby woke up.....it slept for the first 20 minutes so it didn't show any heart accels but then once it woke up we were good to go!

32nd week

So we went back to the dr tuesday...all is well HB was a little faster than it has been but dr didn't seem concerned...my BP was up again...so she doubled my meds again. yuck. but i actually am feeling better so that's good. she said she'll continue to watch my belly growth because "big babies aren't fun for anyone"...so hopefully that means she won't let me get to a 10 lb baby. Our first NST is scheduled for Tuesday..I'm kind of looking forward to it since I'll get to listen to the HB for like 20 mins...yay!

the baby is so active today! It had been quiet the past couple days as it had a busy weekend..but it's going nuts in there right now!

My mom has been working very hard on the nursery..i need to put up some updated pictures of her drawings..they are AMAZING! dillon's impressed too and it takes a lot to get him to say something is "neat or cool" which he continues to say every time she adds more! just waiting on my GPA to finish the changing table...he better hop too! :) we could have an outside baby in like 4 weeks. ACK! not ready.

Our shower was a week and a half ago. it was so much fun and beautiful! the girls did an amazing job and we got a lot of great gifts! i love baby stuff :) especially stuff for my baby! i'll post pics after i DL them from the ol camera....i'm so lazy these days i have no energy..i need to do laundry and our house is a mess but sitting on the couch sounds like a lot more fun...i'm working quite a bit to try and get my units up so i don't get in trouble and its wearing me out..my clients have been pretty overwhelming lately too but i won't get into that! :)

that's all for now here is the 3d stuff!

Although your baby will still remain active, his days of trying out for Cirque du Soleil are nearly over. About this time your baby will settle into the head-down position in preparation for birth. Other fascinating facts:

Both you and baby are putting on some serious weight at this point. You'll probably gain about a pound a week for the next few weeks, with half of that poundage bulking up baby. He'll likely double his weight in the next eight weeks.

Ever wonder what your baby is doing in there these days? He's busy blinking, looking around, grabbing things, making faces, practicing his breathing, peeing and listening to everything around him—pretty much exactly what he'll be doing for the first three months of his life, sans the adoring audience and the flashing camera.

Your baby may (or may not) have a full head of hair now. If she's a baldy, don't worry. You can always buy a Baby Toupee or some adhesive barrettes.

By the end of this week, your baby will weigh about 4 pounds and measure over 17 inches long—about the length of a hot pair of above-the-knee boots. Christian Louboutin? Manolo Blahnik? We're thinking Isaac Mizrahi for Target—you've got a nursery to furnish!

3d pregnancy stuff for 31st week

From this week on, your baby will continue to gain around ½ pound a week until shortly before birth (even though it may feel like a whole lot more with every step you take). Other highlights this week:

Due to increasing space constraints, your baby's arms and legs stay drawn up close to the body now, known as the fetal position (oh, so that's where that name came from!). Plus, your baby can now process information from all five senses—so she'll be all set to smell the pureed peas, taste them, feel them as she mashes them into her hair, hear you crack up and then see the flash as you grab the camera to snap picture after picture.

By now, your baby's lungs are the only system not fully mature. And by mature, we're not saying that the rest of your baby's systems are mature enough to be out past 10 PM with the neighborhood hooligan, just that her lungs need a little bit more time to bake before they can kick it in the outside world.

Your baby weighs about 3½ pounds and measures a little over 16 inches, about the same length as that miniskirt you used to wear (and will again someday!).

31st week

So baby was big time on the move this week..which is great! i love being able to feel him/her move around all the time!

we also had our 3rd u/s this week....i was slightly annoyed as they had told me to drink 32 oz of water a hour before the appt...i get there about to explode i have to pee so bad..i lay on the table she lubes me up...looks at my bladder on the screen as it was taking up my whole stomach region says oh my gosh your bladder is full..i said ya they told me it had to be....she said oh don't listen if you have to come back your far enough along now...WHAT?! i'm in serious pain lady...she said if you need to go let me know..uh duh. i need to go or you'll be cleaning up a big mess....so she lets me up here i am half undressed covered in gel waddling to the bathroom..oh i felt so much better and could breathe/relax...it's not a nice thing to do to a person who is 31 weeks pregnant.

So she did all the measuring...baby has tons oh hair! :) its so cute! measuring about 2 weeks larger but she said they can be off by up to that much....although i don't think it is...baby is weighing about 4 lbs 6 oz which is a little larger than what is mentioned on websites...here are some pictures!

30th week

So i already posted about the dr appt this week...so here is the 3d info for this week

Big news for baby's brain this week: It's starting to wrinkle and fold and looks like something that grew in the back of your fridge. This is due to the rapid growth of your little genius's brain cells. Other highlights this week:

Fingernails and toenails are finally finished—causing his or her parents great fear and anguish the first time they try to cut those little daggers (it gets easier, we promise)! Plus, the bone marrow is completely in charge of red-blood-cell production now. Trust us, this is a good thing.

Baby is starting to shed his lanugo—the downy hair that was covering his skin. Now that he's chubbier and better able to regulate his body temp, he doesn't need to sport a fur coat 24/7.

"I spy an umbilical cord and the inside of my mom's uterus!" When your baby is awake, his eyes are now wide open and he's whittling away the hours looking around, checking out his rather dark, limited environs.

Your baby hasn't gained much weight or height this week, as most of his energy's been channeled to the brain. He weighs about 3 pounds and is approximately 15.5 inches long, about the size of London, not the city, Britney Spears' Yorkie terrier. Of course your baby is less hairy and way cuter!

29th week

behind as usual. nothing exciting happened this week.....so here's the info

Having a baby prematurely is frightening, no doubt. But here's a reason to relax: Due to the impressive advancements of medical technology, if your baby is born this week, she'd have a 9 out of 10 chance of survival, which is seriously great news. Other awesome developments:

Baby's brain can now control her breathing and body temperature. She can also cough, and her sucking abilities have been perfected. Look out, boobs!

Your Mini's skin is looking less wrinkled as she packs on the pounds. She's starting to look more like a Pampers model and less like a Depends model. She's now beefing up on the energizing and insulating white fat she'll be born with (unfortunately, white fat is not energizing and insulating for adults!).

And speaking of energy, your little Energizer Bunny is on fire these days. You're sure to feel your share of kicks, punches and elbows, especially when you're lying down. You might want to start keeping a kick chart to monitor your baby's movements, and also to later show your 13-year-old child what you endured for him or her. Ask your doctor how to count kicks and how often you should do it.

This week your baby is a little over 15 inches long—about the length of a loaf of bread—and weighs about 3 pounds, as much as a Macbook Air laptop.

skipping ahead.

Okay SO i know i still owe you info about week 29..it was pretty uneventful. I want to catch everyone up with yesterdays dr's appt.

I was pretty nervous going in because my swelling from the weekend had gone down..none..and my BP had been a little higher. So she lovingly decides to up my BP meds. ugh. and then she says...well..in early pg it's common for swelling to come and go like yours had been..but now your to the point that it comes and..doesn't go. yay. my GD test came back all clear though! yay! my hemoglobin was low..which doesn't surprise me.i've always had issues there..they won't let me donate blood because of it. so i have to take iron pills. so that puts me up to 7 pills a day until i get the higher dosage BP pills then ill be down to 5. now i feel bad for my clients. yuck. no protein in my urine which is great means the pre e is staying at bay!

so we get to measuring my uterus. fundel height or something like that. it's "a few centimeters bigger than it should be"...for those of you who may not know, they measure the uterus top to bottom from the outside, in centimeters it should match how far along you are in your pregnancy..yesterday i was 30 weeks along therefore it should have measured 30cm and I'm assuming it was between 32-33 centimeters. so she finally decides yes in fact this baby is large..like i've been telling her for weeks. so we get to go for a growth ultrasound next week! yay! i have to have a full bladder, which they told me means drinking 32 ounces of water 1 hour prior to the test. um hello i'm pregnant and can't hold half a bottle of water for more than 30 mins so chances of getting 2 full bottles to stay in for an hour and me living to tell about it=slim. God's gonna have to get me through this one. eck.

The good news is, that generally having high BP keeps the baby small because the swelling decreases nutrients getting to the baby...well apparently that isn't going to be an issue for our sumo wrestler :) (no that doesn't mean it's a boy..i honestly don't know what it is)....and having a large baby means it will be well developed whenever it decides to come. So we go for an U/S next tuesday...so excited! and then the next week we'll start with the NST's! and time is gonna fly!

We got our first baby shower gift in the mail today from Megan and Lynn it's our bouncer! so cute! nearly impossible to put together haha! i can't wait until saturday!!

we got the crib and such put up too..but i'm too lazy to put pictures up right now!

28th week.

So...although this week has FLOWN by..it still feels like September is forever away. And as every person who has had a baby is well aware of what it's like..my emotions are all over the place..while i'm coming out of my skin excited at the same time I'm thinking holy crap. I can't do this.

Went to the Dr tuesday, had my gestational diabetes test...although the stuff didn't taste THAT horrible..the effect was not nice. very light headed/strong headache..wanted to throw up. when the dr came in the room she said "have you thrown up yet"..i said "no trying to keep it down" she said..."oh it's okay most people have thrown up by now"..i managed to keep it down and then got pricked 298547928 times trying to get my blood out. i still have a nice hard bruise from where she finally got blood. the babies heart beat sounded good..120's and 130's so it's getting lower which is normal.

I asked her if we were concerned about the babies size at all..she said not really the head was pretty much normal. and since i'm tall and my family is tall that we'll probably just have a tall baby. (i found out over the weekend that my dad was 19inches long 10 weeks early..holy cow.) she said she'd keep an eye on my stomach if it starts measuring too big then they'll do another u/s in a few weeks. strange isn't it..to talk about it in terms of weeks instead of months.

she does want to start doing non stress tests at about 32 weeks with the monitors..i'm assuming i'll have to go to the burg twice a week for that. kind of cool though, cause i'll get to listen to the babies heart for like 20 minutes!

i also start going every two weeks! yay!!!! the baby was pretty still after tuesdays appt, monday i felt it a lot, even while standing and then tue-thur it didn't move much...thur i had to drink apple juice to get it groovin..but it's been on the move today...almost making me sick to my stomach at times so that's GREAT!

i finished my part of the forms for grad school today. gave jason his reference sheet, will give ladies at work theirs on monday..and mail my stuff...*fingers crossed*

Your Baby
As the Big Day nears, your baby is getting ready to go towards the light at the end of the tunnel (the tunnel being the birth canal, the light being the one the doctor is shining directly into it so she can see what the heck she's doing). Other highlights this week:

Your baby's eyes are partially open now and can blink. Truly superior babies can actually wink. (OK, there is no way to prove that, but it's fun to imagine, no?) Your baby can also now become a shiny, happy person as she has begun having rapid eye movement (Get it? REM? Shiny, happy person?? We'll be here all week.)

Her eyes have color now, too. It may not be the color she ultimately ends up with, especially if they're light gray or blue. The eyes typically don't settle on a final hue until nine months after baby is born. So when your mother-in-law says that the baby has her eyes, you can politely inform her that they'll most likely change soon. Sorry.

Your babe is downright chubby compared to a few weeks ago. She is about 15 inches long, about the length of an amusement park cinnamon-sugar-coated churro (yum!), and weighs 2 to 3 pounds.

27th week

phew. 3rd tri happened this week. finally. i could feel time just come to screechin ghalt though. last week was insanely hot and my ankles felt it....the swelling was not fun! we also started birthing class this week...they really really pushed natural labor which is GREAT! I was so worried that they'd really like epi's and i did not want that. they talked about multiple birthing positions and these cool lights they have in the ceiling that reflect images of things, like an ocean scene and palm trees. hopefully all goes well so that i will be able to move around and the such. my BP is still being strange so we'll see....the nurses all seemed extremely nice though, which is important!

Your Baby
Baby's lungs and immune system are maturing this week as baby prepares for his grand entrance. If he were born today he would have an 85 percent chance of surviving as his lungs are capable of breathing air (with medical assistance, of course). Other exciting developments:

Baby's done a lot of growing over the past few months. His length has more than doubled in the past 15 weeks! And that's not the only thing growing—baby's brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace. His brain waves are now firing away just like those of a newborn baby. If baby is a he, his testes will have completely descended at this point.

Your baby now weighs in at approximately 14½ inches and just over 2 pounds, or about the size of that roast you made last time your in-laws were in town. (OK, the baby is the size of that roast you meant to cook before you decided that ordering Chinese was a much better idea.)

26th week

Sometime around here I could feel all parts of the baby one afternoon...i had really strong kicks up high a hard spot near my belly button and then lil pushes down low...so I'm assuming the baby moved head down..since then it hasn't felt that way..but that day was really neat because dillon pushed on it's butt and it went scootin across my belly :) it's so cool!

Your Baby
Deep breath! Air sacks are developing in your baby's lungs, which means it just might be possible for your baby to take a breath at the end of this week. The air sacks (technically called alveoli) will continue to grow for the next nine years. The membrane that keeps the alveoli separate from the blood vessels is now thin enough to allow for that oxygen–carbon dioxide exchange we call breathing. Other highlights this week:

The retina completes the development of its normal layers this week—all the better to see you with. Well not you, per se, because her eyes are still sealed shut and it's really dark in there, but your baby's eyes are now fully developed.

Brainwaves for the auditory and visual systems are detectable in baby's noggin this week. That means baby's brain is registering things like sound and light. She can't understand what any of it means yet, but she's on track to comprehend an entire episode of Blue's Clues in no time!

As hearing continues to develop, your baby will start to recognize your voice. One hint that your karaoke rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" is not the best would be when the baby starts banging on your gut. Your bambino will also start to recognize your partner's voice. He may feel silly talking to your stomach, but assure him that somebody other than you is definitely listening. Research has shown that newborns actually recognize familiar sounds after birth. Proof that your baby has been paying attention all along.

Break out the sparkling apple juice—baby has now completed two-thirds of her stay in Hotel Womb. Your baby is about 1 2/3 pounds and is 14 inches long head-to-heel, or about the length of a burp cloth (otherwise known as your primary wardrobe accessory for the next several months).

25th week..

i hate that i get so behind...i should be better at this..
i can't really remember what happened in the last three weeks..
my exhaustion came back so the 2nd tri energy boost didn't last long...
since I can't remember much I'll just post the info things..

our Baby
Get ready for pat-a-cake! Baby's hands are now fully developed and he spends most of his awake time groping around in the darkness of your uterus. Brain and nerve endings are developed enough now so that your baby can feel the sensation of touch. That doesn't mean he can feel it when his father pokes your stomach, however, so tell him to knock it off. Other highlights include:

Your baby's arms and legs have grown to almost the proportions they will be at birth, which is still sort of short. So don't be alarmed when your newborn's arms barely clear his waist. Baby's nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, clear out (like he's taken a super-dose of Sudafed) and he can practice breathing through the nose. The structures of your baby's spine are now made up of 150 joints, 33 rings and some 1,000 ligaments. Can you believe you're growing something that complicated inside of you?

The capillaries, the teeniest blood vessels, are now forming in your baby's body, giving his formerly translucent skin a pink glow. The blood vessels in the lungs also develop this week. You'll see how well that worked out when your baby gives those lungs a workout while you're on line at the bank in a few months.

Your baby weighs about a pound and a half and is about 13½ inches long—roughly the length of one of those recorders you played in elementary school music class. Who's up for a round of "Hot Cross Buns?"

24th week.

We got to see our pumpkin again this week! Yay!! :) We went on Wednesday back to St Lukes for the ultrasound/fetal echo. There was a student there so the tech was really thorough and explained everything in great detail which was nice! Looks like we're going to be ignoring the weight/length measurements from 3dpregnancy.com from now on..Baby S is a bit ahead of the curve. Baby's heart looks great, he/she got hiccups in the middle of it, which was the first time I felt them, the tech was pushing really hard on my stomach so I guess that's why I felt them! It was a really cool feeling! They remeasured him/her and it looks like the baby is going to get my families size genes. I was 24w2d yesterday, the baby measured 26w5d and there is no way I'm that far along. The tech looked at us and said "neither of you are that tall, why is this baby so long"..I had to explain to her that my brother is 6'6'' and my cousin is 6'8'', not many people in my family are under 6' tall. Her eyes got really big and she said "okay well that would explain it". DH is 5'7'' and 130lbs dripping wet..most people in his family are similar in size if not smaller. So our kid may look like a giant compared to them! :) Baby S weighs 2lb 1oz and is the 90th percentile for just about every measurement they took. She said well it's pretty skinny so it shouldn't be too hard to push out! Well that's good news! Not sure what my Dr will do from here on out, since we were at a special clinic..I imagine she'll do another u/s when I get farther along to see how big the squirt is! That's all for now just wanted to share!

It was really cool, they were able to zoom to each chamber of the heart and listen specifically to that chamber and watch the blood flow! Technology is so cool!
Since that appt Baby S has been on the move! Which is WONDERFUL! Makes me relax!
BP is still a little high even with medication so that's no good. I'm also getting more nervous about the possibility of GD. I haven't felt so hot this week, some days my heart races, other times it's barely pumpin..my chest just feels off. So i'll have to talk to the Dr about that.

Allison printed the shower invites. I really want to post one on here but I want those of you I know in real life, to see them in person first! So cute!

I put pictures of my belly progression side my side this am, i'll post those below!
My mom has started painting the nursery! We went with a pale green that matches the bedding, I think she is going to paint animals on the wall too whenever she finds 5 minutes to spare! My grandpa also agreed to make us a changing table/shelf! I'm sending him a picture of Lemon's to go off of :)! I love it!

Here is the babies info for this past week!

Your baby isn't just sitting around (on your bladder) doing nothing, he's working hard preparing for life outside the womb—perfecting his lungs and packing on the pounds. He'll gain ½ pound this week alone. Other highlights this week:

Things are starting to get a little crowded inside the old womb as baby grows bigger and bigger. Your ribs are probably pining away for the good old days when they didn't have a foot permanently lodged between them. Hate to break it to you, but it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Your baby's ears are fully functional now. And since they are, you may notice that loud noises and sudden movements can startle the little bugger. He's getting used to the everyday sounds inside the womb: the sound of your heart beating, your lungs inhaling and exhaling air, the growling of your stomach because your partner promised he'd be right back with that double cheeseburger and he's taking forever! He'll even be able to hear your voice when your partner finally arrives and you ask him where the bleep he's been! So talk nice!

Baby's got a fully developed inner ear now. This means his sense of balance is working and he can tell whether he's hanging upside down or right side up. He can also feel you moving, so go ahead, pop in your favorite tunes and boogie.

Your little Wiener schnitzel is about the length of a foot-long Chicago hot dog and weighs about 1 1/3 pounds.

~~again...ignore the last sentence we're way ahead of that! Here are my belly pics and then the ultra sound pics!
