i'm so terrible about updating.

Kynlee is 3 months old today. Really? Where has time went? How is this possible? I don't want to spend too much time in review, basically the past 13 weeks have been a blur! Lets see she did really really well until the 6w mark and then all hell broke loose. She started nightly screaming fits where nothing would calm her down, the bath tub would work for a while and as soon as she was out of the tub it would start all over. We finally tried a suggestion from the message board of the hair dryer. I remember feeling ridiculous walking to the bathroom to get it that first night, but it worked like a charm. She absolutely loved it! So that was a life saver many nights. Thankfully after about 10/11w she stopped having the fits! But we did suffer through them at Thanksgiving, we also sort of figured out she didn't like to be held during them, she wanted to lay down and be on her own, so that's what we did. Her mobile in her crib entertained her. But needless to say, having a baby that didn't want to be held during the holidays was no fun.

She has also learned to grasp things with her hands so her new favorite place to be is in her bouncy seat with her dangling toys at an arms reach, this week she finally figured out how to get the middle toy, which is the one that plays music.

Last week she did roll from her belly to back a few times, if I get her arms tucked under her far enough she plops right over! The first time she did it I had barely laid her down and she was already over!

She started at the babysitters last week. And I went back to work. I didn't cry as much as I thought I would, I think only her first day was rough, Dill dropped her off for the second day and by the third day when I dropped her off as soon as she heard Candy's voice she was all smiles! So that obviously makes it much easier!

Oh we've also had some belly troubles which required us to make a special trip to Dr Phelps, she was spitting up like crazy and screaming in pain when she was trying to poo. At first we tried reducing milk and soy formula, didn't help and soy tore her belly up worse. Then the dr suggested reducing onions, garlic, and peppers, that seems to have been the trick and for the most part all has been well since then! We're using gentlease formula which she loves and it doesn't bother her belly at all! My pumping isn't producing a whole ton of milk so we've got to supplement.

We've had about 4 nights of sleeping through the night. She'll go two nights in a row of STTN and then goes about 3-4 days of waking up at 1 and 4 and 7. I'm not really sure what is causing the differences, other than her evening naps, she gets so worn out at the sitter that sometimes its impossible to keep her awake in the evening.

I suppose our biggest news is that she was diagnosed with pulmonary valve stenosis at 7weeks. At her 6 w check up they heard the murmur and were hoping that it was just the 'normal' murmur but when we went to Childrens Mercy they found that the leaflets in her pulmonary valve are thicker than they are supposed to be, but not bad enough to do anything 'yet' they will continue to monitor her until she is done growing. If they get any thicker surgery will be required. Thankfully it's less invasive than what Dillon had 20 years ago (obviously) and they would just insert a cath into her leg and go up to her heart and balloon open the valve. I'm not sure if it comes from what Dillon had since he had a kink in his valve, we didn't ask, but I'm going to try to remember in January. When we went it was when she was having screaming fits and the Dr said to just treat her like a normal baby. Strange thing, the NP that was in there first was trying to figure out who Dill's surgeon had been, come to find out we think it was the Dr that was in there with us the whole time! Nuts!

We had pics taken last week for her 3 month photo session, she did AMAZING. We timed it so that she would be hungry as soon as we got to springfield, so she woke up as we pulled into a parking spot (two spaces from the door mind you) she ate, wouldn't burp, so i was terrfied she was going to spit up all over her clothes, she didn't. She was awake and did not cry the entire time we flopped her all over the place for her pictures and then she fell asleep while we were waiting to look at them, so she slept through all of that. What an angel.

Here is a pic of her with Santa. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I think the best part so far has been watching her look at Dillon, she is SO in love with him, she has to see him no matter where he is in room she wants to look at him.
Melts my heart.

so i guess this is all, i'm going to once again promise more updates. I think I'll do it on Tuesdays, when she grows another week older. i start classes soon on wednesdays, yuck!
