Back to the Dr this week. it was a good appt. One of the first things she asked was when my last u/s was, i told her around 30 weeks, so she looked at the chart and mmhmmed and said ya it was measuring ahead then...so then she said, next time you come in (which would be in two weeks) remind me and we'll schedule you for another u/s just to see where we are size wise. I said okay ,laid back and she went to measure my fundal height (how big my uterus is)...I've been measuring at home and getting about 38 cm (I'm not entirely sure where the top of it is)...it should measure one cm for each week so it should have been 34 cm...anyways when she got done measuring she went to my chart write it down, when she came back to listen to the HB she said..i changed my mind we're going to schedule that u/s today for in two weeks, just incase; we don't want to be rushing around...after that we may talk induction. insert big eyes here.
So we scheduled the u/s for Sept 4th. I go see her the 1st, I guess we'll talk induction when i see her the 8th. if she lets me pick a day, i'm going for the 14th. It's the day i've been saying since the beginning.
still going for NST's. baby usually is cooperating. i love listening to the HB. some of the nurses turn it way down, which is annoying..i want to hear..every single beat. BP is still really good, especially during NST's that sound is so relaxing.
my grandpa brought the changing table this week. LOVE it. I'll post pictures as soon as I remember to take some. i'm efficient. we also went to the chiefs game this week..it POURed down rain on us. POURed. but it was good times regardless. :) we left at half time. i don't think we could have been anymore wet had we jumped in a swimming pool. lol..it's our luck. it didn't rain all day. 2 minutes into the game, down pour.
here is 3d info:
Your Baby
Your baby kind of looks like she's coated in a layer of cream cheese these days. The thick, white substance that protects her skin from pruning in the amniotic fluid is called vernix. When she's born you'll probably see some vernix lingering in her "hard-to-reach" places like under her arms, behind her ears and around her va-jay-jay, if she's a she.. Other news from the womb this week:
The soft fur, lanugo, that covered your baby's body for much of her stay in the womb is now almost completely gone. Your baby begins to develop her own immune system, instead of relying solely on antibodies received through the placenta. This will come in handy when some grubby relative manhandles the baby without washing his hands first.
This week, your baby measures about 17¾ inches, as almost as long as an American Girl Doll (!) and weighs almost 5 pounds, as heavy as a bag of sugar, minus the cup you put in your decaf this morning.
